In 2000, when Alu-Cab opened its doors in Cape Town and our journey began, our own African travel experiences taught us that space and weight were the biggest challenges for any overland traveller. To combat this, we developed the first aluminium canopy - designed specifically for adventure travellers. But the development didn't stop there. The more we refined, reinforced and accessorised the canopy, the more we realised its unlimited potential.

The company grew from producing the first aluminium canopy to a fully-fledged production facility serving the global market. Our manufacturing facility comprises 14 factories with over 600 employees. We are a home-grown South African company with our entire manufacturing facility in Ottery, Cape Town. Our Alu-Cab product range is sold in 73 countries.
