ModCAP Base

The side flaps are lockable, providing both security and convenient access to the interior of the ModCAP camper. Their wide opening makes it easy to load and unload larger items. Locking them adds protection against theft or unwanted access.

The rear hatch offers easy access to the camper and allows for effortless storage of camping gear, a spare tire up to 35", or other luggage. It opens with a sturdy handle and provides access to one of the camper’s key areas. The frame and door offer protection against dust, sand, and water and can be locked from both inside and outside.

Inside the Base, there are LED lights with red-white light mode. This is gentle on the eyes and helps keep mosquitoes and insects away — especially useful on warm nights.

The T-slot rails on the sides and rear offer a smart way to attach extra equipment or accessories, adding to the camper’s flexibility.

The third brake light at the rear improves visibility in traffic and helps reduce the risk of rear-end collisions.

All electronics, including lights and connectors for the Base and rooftop tent, come pre-installed.

On the left side, there is a 270° awning that is freestanding and quick to set up. It covers both the side and rear of the cabin and can be extended into a ~10m² awning room with optional side panels. Made from high-quality, durable material, it’s designed for tough environments. A silver coating helps with heat protection. The jointed support arm channels rainwater away, preventing pooling and helping avoid mildew. When closed, a protective cover shields the awning. Setup takes less than a minute.

Camper Roof

The pop-up roof allows for quick access to the tent and creates more space inside the camper. The walk-through opening is especially convenient for moving between the vehicle and the tent, or from your sleeping area to the roof, without fully opening the tent. This saves time and offers more flexibility and comfort during use. When the roof is extended, standing room inside the camper is possible.

The 70mm foam mattress with a removable cover ensures comfortable sleep and helps you recharge for the day ahead. Bedding can be left inside the tent, so there’s no need to pack everything away before continuing your journey. The sleeping surface measures 2.6m x 1.4m.

Mosquito nets in the rooftop tent provide excellent protection against insects. They allow fresh air to flow in while keeping mosquitoes and other bugs out, so you can sleep in peace.

The C-rails on the camper roof allow you to carry extra gear and equipment. The maximum roof load is 50kg – enough for bikes, kayaks, or other bulky items on your journey.

The solar connection (Anderson plug) on the roof supports solar panels up to 600W, letting you power your electronics and equipment with renewable energy. This increases self-sufficiency and sustainability, especially on long trips or in remote areas.

A ventilation opening ensures continuous airflow inside the camper. It prevents moisture buildup and helps maintain a pleasant temperature, even in warmer weather.

The double-layered 400g/m² ripstop fabric is highly durable and offers protection from UV rays. It’s water-repellent, robust, and ensures stability even in extreme weather conditions. This enhances the longevity of the ModCAP camper and shields you from harmful UV exposure.

A side opening slot allows you to route a warm air hose from a parking heater into the tent, so cold nights won’t be a problem.

The foldable rain guard offers extra protection during rain and shields the rooftop tent and interior from getting wet. It stores away easily and can be deployed quickly in bad weather.

With four integrated USB ports, you can conveniently charge your electronic devices. This boosts independence, as phones, lights, and more can be powered directly inside the camper.

The 12V sockets allow you to connect additional electrical accessories such as coolers or lights — perfect for staying fully equipped even off-grid.

Two adjustable reading lamps provide enough light for late-night reading. They’re easy on the eyes and create a cozy atmosphere.

The storage pocket system keeps the sleeping area tidy and gives you quick access to small essentials — no more rummaging around in the dark.

In the ceiling of the tent, a darkenable skylight window is integrated, giving you a beautiful view of the stars at night.

Mit der ModCAP Tailgate Base bleibt die originale Heckklappe des Pick-ups vollständig erhalten. Dadurch bleiben die serienmäßige Optik, die gewohnte Bedienung und – je nach Fahrzeugmodell – Funktionen wie Zentralverriegelung, Rückfahrkamera oder Heckklappendämpfung bestehen. Die geöffnete Heckklappe kann weiterhin als praktische Ablage- und Arbeitsfläche genutzt werden. Zudem sind Montage und Rückrüstung einfacher, da die Original-Heckklappe weder ausgebaut noch separat gelagert werden muss.
