ModCAP Base

The side flaps are lockable, providing both security and easy access to the ModCAP Camper’s interior. Their wide opening range allows for convenient storage and retrieval of even larger items. Locking them offers added protection from theft or unauthorized access.

The rear hatch is extra large, making it easy to access the camper and store items like camping gear, a spare tire up to 35”, or other luggage. It opens with a sturdy handle and grants access to one of the camper’s key areas. The entire frame and door provide protection from dust, sand, and water, and the door can be locked from both inside and outside.

The interior lighting includes three LED lamps with red-white switchable light, which is easy on the eyes and helps keep mosquitoes and insects away – especially helpful on warm nights.

The T-slot rails on the sides and rear provide mounting points for additional equipment or accessories. They expand the flexibility of the ModCAP and allow custom setups.

The third brake light at the rear improves visibility in traffic, helping to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions.

All electronics—including lights and outlets for the Base and rooftop tent—are pre-installed.

The 270° awning on the left side is freestanding and quick to set up. It covers both the side and rear of the camper, and can be expanded into a ~10 m² awning room with optional side walls. The silver-coated, durable material offers sun and rain protection. A pivoting joint arm ensures proper drainage and prevents water buildup. When not in use, a protective cover keeps it safe. Setup takes less than a minute.

Family Roof

The pop-up roof allows fast access to the tent and increases headroom inside. The built-in passage is convenient for quick movement between the vehicle and the tent. When extended, standing inside the camper becomes possible.

The mattress is 70 mm thick foam with a removable cover, offering excellent sleeping comfort. The bedding can stay in the tent while driving. Sleeping area: 2 m x 2.4 m.

Mosquito nets provide protection from insects while allowing fresh air inside—perfect for peaceful sleep.

The C-rails on the roof let you carry extra gear. With a 50 kg load capacity, items like bikes or kayaks can be easily transported.

The solar connection (Anderson plug) supports panels up to 600 W, making renewable energy use easy—ideal for remote trips.

A ventilation opening ensures continuous airflow, reducing humidity and keeping temperatures comfortable.

The ripstop fabric (280 g/m², dual-layer) is UV-resistant, water-repellent, and highly durable—built for tough conditions.

A heater duct slot allows warm air from a parking heater to be routed into the tent—perfect for cold nights.

The foldable rain guard offers extra protection against rain and is quick to set up.

With USB ports (2x USB 3.0, 4x USB-C), you can easily charge your devices. The 12V outlets support coolers or other equipment off-grid.

Two adjustable reading lights provide focused illumination at night and can be operated individually.

The storage pockets help keep your sleeping area tidy and organized.

A darkenable skylight in the roof lining gives you a beautiful view of the night sky.

Mit der ModCAP Tailgate Base bleibt die originale Heckklappe des Pick-ups vollständig erhalten. Dadurch bleiben die serienmäßige Optik, die gewohnte Bedienung und – je nach Fahrzeugmodell – Funktionen wie Zentralverriegelung, Rückfahrkamera oder Heckklappendämpfung bestehen. Die geöffnete Heckklappe kann weiterhin als praktische Ablage- und Arbeitsfläche genutzt werden. Zudem sind Montage und Rückrüstung einfacher, da die Original-Heckklappe weder ausgebaut noch separat gelagert werden muss.
